The Strange Case of Mei Lysel Andi was prompted as a concept for the VN CUP of 2023. Pre-production started in April as the final semester came to a wrap for Steele and spacescoob. Around the half way point of the production Steele had a completely horrendous experience with trying to get a flight to Puerto Rico to be with their family. Lets just say they were in and out airports for almost a week. The latter half of the production was plagued under the fear of the power going put at any moment and for an undisclosed amount of time thanks to the Puerto Rican power grid being more than just shoddy.

All of the characters and setting were concepted before The Strange Case of Mei Lysel Andi and were actually originally planned to make their debuts in different projects but it seems life has many surprises. See this project as a small anecdote of a larger project.
